Yes. BMK runs guided day boat dive trips as well as multi-day liveaboard adventures aboard Ikan Biru 

Our team speaks multiple languages including English, French, German, Swedish and Chinese (Mandarin) as well as more to support international divers.  However if you have a language preference please let us know as soon as possible so that we can arrange availability.

Yes — we run fun dives and guided experiences for both certified and uncertified divers of all levels, including less advanced dive site options

No — you don’t need a certification to get started. If you’re new to diving, our PADI Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) experience lets you dive under the direct supervision of an instructor and experience Komodo’s underwater world for yourself. Certified divers are, of course, welcome to join our guided fun dives as well

You should bring your certification card, logbook, reef-safe sunscreen, snacks and personal items. A detailed packing list is available on request.

Typically we offer three guided dives on our day boat trips to explore various Komodo sites, however we also offer anoption to do a 2 dive day trip and visit the Komodo Dragons

Komodo currents can be strong, but our experienced guides manage profiles safely, placing divers where conditions suit their skill levels

Ikan Biru is the dedicated liveaboard operated by Blue Marlin Komodo, offering multi-day dive trips through Komodo National Park. Designed specifically for diving in this region, it allows guests to reach remote sites, dive at optimal times, and experience Komodo in a more immersive and unhurried way.

Yes. Blue Marlin Komodo offers beginner-friendly options on our liveaboard trips, including entry-level courses and supervised diving programs. This allows new divers to learn and gain experience while exploring Komodo in a relaxed, fully supported environment.

Popular sites include Castle Rock, Crystal Rock, Manta Alley, Batu Bolong and The Cauldron

Komodo can be dived year-round, but peak season with calmer seas and better visibility is generally April to Novembe

Manta rays are commonly seen in Komodo throughout the year, but sightings are most consistent from December to March, when plankton-rich waters attract large numbers of mantas to cleaning stations and feeding areas. That said, encounters are possible at any time, and manta dives are always planned around the best conditions on the day.

Komodo’s rich waters are home to reef sharks, pelagic fish and diverse marine life at many drift sites.

Not from the boat, but - Blue Marlin Komodo offers day trips that combine world-class diving with guided island treks to see Komodo dragons in their natural habitat. If you’re staying on our liveaboard, you can also visit the dragons as part of the itinerary, with guided walks led by local rangers for a safe and informative experience.
